Mosaic’s industry-leading crop nutrition solutions set the standard for crop performance. But what happens when no one can figure out which product is right for them?

Mosaic approached Modern Climate wondering how they could make a better experience on their website. And how to help their targeted segments focus on what’s truly relevant to them versus being overwhelmed by all of the products that Mosaic offers?

To accomplish this, we applied a global filtering feature to the website, which allowed us to ask growers to identify which crop they are growing this season or next, and what part of the country they’re in. This results in removal of all of the non-relevant information to help visitors focus on just the things relevant to their specific needs.

In doing so, we also aligned all imagery to reinforce the connection between their region, their crops, and our products. We also applied this logic to targeted ads, pre-filtering the Mosaic site experience using crop and region values as URL parameters to pre-filter the site on page load, delivering only the content relevant to their current pursuit.

To take it one step further, we also served up tailored ads comparing commodity fertilizer to Mosaic’s proprietary blend, and showcasing how much individuals could be increasing their commodity crop yields by switching products. Those ads then direct the viewer to a pre-filtered site personalized based on the specific ad clicked.
